The staff at the Grange Veterinary Surgery are highly experienced and motivated. Between us we have a combined experience of nearly 150 years of working in veterinary clinics in Australia and overseas. We are very happy to answer questions relating to your pets.
  

Paul MacGinley

Veterinarian (BVSc CMAVA)

Dr Paul was born and grew up locally, is a Veterinary Science graduate from the University of Queensland. He met his future wife Leanne Litzow on the very first day of their university studies in 1979 where they sat alphabetically, although they attended neighbouring schools they had never met. Both completed their studies in 1983 and married in 1986. Paul interned at the Silkstone Veterinary Hospital before establishing the Grange Veterinary Surgery at its current location in 1987. He has an great interest in dentistry, surgery and Feline Medicine, He is a frequent enthusiastic attendant at post graduate continuing education seminars and conferences, he qualified as a Charter Member of the Australian Veterinary Association in 2009.


Leanne Litzow

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Dr Leanne graduated with Paul from the University Of Queensland in 1983 and after a stint working in Melbourne's Bundoora Veterinary Hospital returned to Brisbane. She worked for several years full time at Queensland Veterinary Specialists before marrying and starting her family in 1988. Her veterinary career slowed for a number of years working part time both at QVS and the Grange Veterinary Surgery. After her third baby in 1994 Leanne has finally devoted all her veterinary attention here. Her special interest in veterinary medicine is reproduction having bred and shown Dachshunds for many years. Leanne's major outside interest is netball where she competes weekly and is nationally accredited netball umpire.


Tina Miller

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Tina graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997 with 1st Class Honours and spent the first 6 years working in mixed rural practices in Central Queensland. She then worked in Cambridge and London in the UK for 5 years. After returning to Brisbane in 2008 she has worked in general small practices and at an emergency vet clinic. Tina’s interests are endocrine disorders and soft tissue surgery. Tina loves spending time with her young family and enjoys the great outdoors at any opportunity.


Kathy Edwards

Veterinary Practice Manager (CVN)

Kathy is our senior Veterinary Nurse with over 25 years of experience in the veterinary industry. Her Veterinary Nursing career began back in the early 80's, when she began work at a specialist practice on Brisbane's northside. She originally completed a three year Veterinary Nursing course in 1986, and then went on to update to a Certificate IV in 1999. Kathy has worked at the Grange Veterinary Surgery since 1993. Kathy has special interests in both Medical and Surgical Nursing.
When not at work Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys music and reading.
Her family shares their home with rescued pets 'Ducati', and 'Gabby' .


Lisa Swadling CVN

Veterinary Nurse (Certified Veterinary Nurse)

Lisa joined the Grange Vet team in 2011 after completing her work experience with us in 2010. Lisa particularly enjoys learning the physiology behind illness and injuries as well as anatomy, and is now expanding her knowledge through a health and physical education degree at UQ.


Zoe Radford CVN

Veterinary Nurse (Certified Veterinary Nurse)

Zoe joined our team as a vet nurse in 2017 after completing her vet nursing work experience here the previous year. Zoe is a bright and keen addition to our team, and she enjoys all aspects of vet nursing.
